I started attending a local Southern Baptist Church when I was about 2 years old with the help of my older sister Janie. At the age of 13 I started feeling the conviction of the Holy Spirit on my life. At the age of 16 I surrendered my life to Christ and was baptized. Since then I have tried to live my life pleasing to God as best I could, knowing full well that I can’t live up to God’s expectation. ( Romans 3 : 9 and 10, ) What then ? Are we Jews any better off ? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, Jews and Greeks, are under sin, as it is written : ” None is righteous, no, not one; I believe that Jesus is the son of God, and that salvation is free, and is available to anyone who would trust in Jesus. I try to follow his example in loving all people, and in living to please God.
I am Southern Baptist and I hold to the Bible as the word of God, written by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Baptist Faith and Message summarizes what I believe and the Bible teaches this on several key points.
